Distance education

Distance learning lets you study your school's programme online and plan your daily routine around work, sport or family life. You study independently with learning materials, video lessons and support from teachers.

Who is distance learning for?

It may suit students who need a flexible daily schedule, people returning to education after a break and those living abroad. Independence matters: set aside regular study time and ask for help when you need it.

Which programmes does R1TV offer?

R1TV offers basic education for grades 7–9 and general secondary education for grades 10–12. The secondary programme includes mathematics, medicine and humanities tracks.

How learning works

After completing the paperwork and signing the agreement, you receive access to eSkola. Study the materials and video lessons, complete self-assessment tasks, ask questions during consultations and take assessments.

Assessments and teacher support

There are usually 3–8 assessments per month; an individual study plan may differ. Assessments generally take 90–180 minutes, and teachers mark them within 10 working days. Group consultations are voluntary; individual consultations are also available.

Previous studies and an individual plan

The school reviews your previous grades and determines which subjects you still need to complete. Your tuition fee may be reduced after recognition of previous studies and approval of an individual study plan.

Exams and education documents

Distance learning does not remove the programme's assessment and exam requirements. Before enrolling, discuss the requirements for your grade with the school. If you live abroad, also check the arrangements for exams and submitting documents.

Tuition fees and instalments

The annual fee is €650 per grade. Instalments are interest-free, but their number depends on your enrolment month. Before September: up to 10 payments; September: up to 9; October: up to 8; November: up to 7. The full fee must be paid by the end of the academic year in May. Exact dates and amounts are stated in the agreement.

Consider how you organise your time, how much direct contact with classmates you need and whether you can study independently. If you need help deciding, contact the school and discuss your situation.

How to apply

Complete the online application, prepare the required documents and agree your study plan and payment schedule with the school. You can apply during the academic year; you do not have to wait until September.
