Assessments: how they work and how they are graded
Complete assessments online. There are 3–8 assessments per month; the number may differ under an individual study plan.
Before an assessment, check its instructions, time allowance and submission deadline. If you have an individual study plan, follow your own schedule.
Time and tasks
You usually have 90–180 minutes to complete an assessment. It may include test questions, multiple-choice questions and problems to solve.
In subjects with national centralised exams, the assessment format resembles the exam paper. This helps you prepare for the exam.
How to attach work completed on paper
If you prefer to complete a task on paper, scan or photograph your solution and attach it to the assessment as an image or another file format.
When will you receive your grade?
The teacher marks the assessment within 10 working days. You can view the marked work in your eSkola profile and the grade in the “Atzīmes” (Grades) section.
Moving to the next grade
Each grade has a set number of assessments. Once you have passed all the assessments for that grade, you move to the next grade.
Prepare with the learning materials or arrange a consultation with a teacher.
